About
Hello, I’m Natasha!
When you find yourself wondering “Who am I other than being a mum”, you’re not not the only one.
Motherhood is a fulfilling role to hold. However, it can also change the way you see yourself.
I’m the founder of Butterfly Minds and I support mums navigating the identity shifts that can come after entering motherhood.
Before this work, I spent years working in the charity sector supporting mums and families through life transitions and challenging circumstances that had an impact on their lives. I have also supported women with their emotional wellbeing through yoga and coaching with a focus on connecting to themselves and building confidence.
I understand first hand how motherhood can change how you feel about yourself as I’m a toddler mum.
Why Butterfly Minds exists
Butterfly Minds exists because motherhood changes everything in your life, including your sense of self.
Many mum’s I’ve worked with have experienced feeling:
Overwhelmed by the mental load.
Guilty for wanting more for themselves.
Disconnected from their old life and not knowing what their interests and passions are.
Like they’re lost because they don’t know who they are anymore in their new life.
Yet, what they often don’t know is that they are going through a huge identity shift, called matrescence, which is the transition into motherhood.
This isn’t spoken about in spaces during pregnancy or in life before becoming pregnant. Which means this can be an unexpected aspect of becoming a mum that mums don;t have the space or support to process what they’re experiencing.
Butterfly Minds is here to change that and support you to rediscover who you’re becoming.
