My Story
I didn’t know how much of any identity shift would
I used to tell myself that I couldn’t do the things that felt “too big” or “too much of a change”, when I thought about going in a new direction in my new life after becoming a mum.
I knew that if I decided to do something new it would mean that I'd need to find time to plan and build myself up to go outside of my comfort zone.
It felt like an overwhelming task that would be too much effort. Especially when I was surviving on broken sleep and I didn’t know how I would have the energy to focus on myself between feeding, making plans around unpredictable contact nap times, housework and everything else that mums juggle.
However, I also knew that if I didn't try something that my intuition was telling me to do that I would always think “what if”. I had a feeling that this would annoy me even more than trying and “failing.”
That's when I realised that it was my time to become the version of me who I wanted to be. Without trying to please people and trying to meet everyone's expectations, including pressures and expectations that I placed upon myself.
The first thing I did was to create time to reflect on what I valued in life and how I could shape my life to incorporate the things that mattered the most to me.
This led to me finding a new confidence in myself and getting creative and intentional about what I gave my attention to.
I published two picture books in the first two years of motherhood because I didn’t let fear of the unknown hold me back as I reconnected to myself as an ambitious woman.

Feeling disconnected from your identity after previously attaching your sense of worth and identity to your career. You feel grateful for being able to watch your child grow and at the same time you want to feel like you're growing as an ambitious person beyond being a mum.
Thinking about how you're going to make a decision about what to do about a transition you want to go through in your life as a mum that you believe will make you happier over and over again while you're sitting building a tower with your kid on your living room floor. You can feel yourself getting impatient when they tell you you're building it the wrong way. But you know it isn't the blocks that is the issue, it's that you can't feel fully present with your child because you want to be able to plan every possible scenario of the decision you could make.
Telling yourself that you need to stick with the safe option because you don't have a choice. You don't know how you'll ever be able to do something different or feel differently about your current situation. Your life feels like it's out of your hands and you think that you need to just keep going through the motions of life. You don't trust yourself yet that you know what's right for you.
The journey
Based on my VOICES framework, designed to support you through the emotional changes and identity shifts of matrescence, you’ll be guided to discover how you can start becoming more connected to who you are and what you want after motherhood.
In this 60 minute session, you will:
Identify what particular thing(s) need your attention so you can stop overthinking everyhing.
Boost your motivation to find yourself when you feel like you’ve lost yourself.
Feel less pressured to do what everyone else is doing, or what you think you should do.
Leave with a clear, realistic step for next week to do helping you to build your belief that what you want is possible.
Stop worrying what about what you think will “go wrong” or second guessing yourself and saying why you need to wait and instead finally make a decision about what is important to you.

We plan out up to 3 clear steps that you can take to help you discover a sense of who you are and what you want after motherhood
This is a focused 60-minute session via Telegran (free messaging app) where we’ll message back and forth through written messages and voice notes.
By the end of the session you’ll:
Have a better sense of who you want to become and how.
At least one practical step you can actually take to move you forward.
Have a break from the mental lod to focus on yourself.
