The Motherhood Journey: Finding and Rediscovering your New Identity

£19.99

There comes a point after becoming a mum when you might start wondering how do I find myself again after motherhood?

The person you used to be is a distant memory and you feel a loss of identity in your new life.

The things you used to do don't interest you any more and you don't know what you enjoy anymore as an individual.

Lacking motivation after becoming a first time mum was tough…

I had gone from being a career driven and motivated woman to doing nappy changes, breastfeeding 24/7, and everything else motherhood brings.

I was happy about being able to stay at home raising my child, but at the same time I felt my sense of ambition outside of motherhood had faded.

I had lost my sense of identity beneath the exhausting postpartum phase. The broken sleep and non stop feeding drained my energy.

My old life was a distant memory.

Even though I was still working on myself up until my 3rd trimester of pregnancy. After I had my child I had no idea when I would be able to use what I'd learned.

I knew I wanted to make a change in my new life but I didn't know when or how to do so.

I realised that other ambitious mums would be going through the same experience as me.

That's when I knew that I needed to rediscover who I was and what I wanted my life to look like beyond motherhood.

This gave me a boost of motivation to use my years of experience working with mums to help them reconnect to themselves.

To empower them to find the ambition from their old life and start discovering what they want in their new life after motherhood.

Can you relate to…

  • You've lost your sense of identity and don't know how to find who you are in this season of life.

  • Forgetting what life was like before being a mum. Although you know you want to feel like a person outside of motherhood, you don't know how you would find the time to explore potential interests or passions in your new life.

  • Having mum guilt about spending time away from your child while at the same time wanting to pursue your ambitions and dreams.

  • Feeling burnt out because you're trying to meet the expectations you put on yourself and pressure from others. You're always trying to be the perfect mum, perfect daughter, perfect (job title) and it's leaving you exhausted trying to do everything “right”.

  • You're saying yes to make other people happy even when you know that by agreeing you're going against your intuition and what you actually want.

The process

The VOICES Framework by Natasha Iregbu is supports you when you decide you're ready to rediscover your identity and who you want to be beyond motherhood.

This is the exact steps I took to shift from feeling uncertain about who I was anymore and what I wanted my life to look like after motherhood…to going outside my comfort zone and publishing three books in less than 2 years of becoming a mum.

I've been working with mums and children for over a decade supporting them through navigating transitions, family life and prioritising their needs.

When you grab this ebook, you'll go on a journey of self-discovery and walk through each step to reconnect with and find yourself in this season of your life.

You can keep doing what you're doing. Or you can…

Take steps towards growing your motivation to start becoming more like the version of you that you want to be after motherhood.

So that you can rediscover what gives you a purpose and identity beyond motherhood. Meaning that you can find more calm moments while navigating carrying the mental load in motherhood.

You can decide to become the version of you that you want to show up as in the world.

This ebook is for you if:

  • You feel like you've lost yourself in motherhood and you're tired of feeling like a shadow of your former self. When you look in the mirror you don't recognise the woman looking back at you.

  • You're struggling to find what you want outside of motherhood. You're scrolling on TikTok after just feeding your baby and you're watching other mums go to work and have really ambitious lives and you feel like you have no idea what you want in life after motherhood.

  • You want to have the motivation and energy to be able to sit down during your kids nap time and work on the project you've been working on for the last couple of years. But you feel guilty because you have a pile of dishes in the sink and you need to do that first. Then when you sit down to focus, nap time is over and there's no time to start what you wanted.

  • You want to try something new and find what makes you happy outside of being a mum. Yet, you feel like you've forgotten everything you knew before motherhood. And you tell yourself that you can't even remember what you walked into the kitchen for after your child asked for a snack. So starting a new project or changing your career would be too hard and something that other mums can do but not you.

  • You don't want to sit and wait for the “right time” and wish the days away thinking you need to wait until your child is older before you start prioritising yourself and what you want.

You can start feeling more present in all aspects of your life whilst you continue to be the ambitious woman that's inside you. Ambition might just look and feel different to what you imagined after becoming a mum.

“This ebook is so helpful and interesting. It's given me so much food for thought!” - Rachel, mum of 1 (UK).
