Yoga Nidra for Children

£0.00

Can children do Yoga NIdra?

Yes, they can!

Yoga Nidra meditation is a wonderful practice that can help children by developing their self-awareness and interoceptive awareness, through becoming aware of their internal senses.

This meditation can help children relax and improve kid’s sleep, as well as help them feel less worried and support their emotional regulation.

Children can practice seated or lying down. They can choose to have their eyes open or closed, whichever they feel most comfortable with.

Before starting the practice, create a calm space away from any distractions.

Invite them to get cosy with a blanket during the practice, and they may also like the lights to be dimmed.

Children can practice this short Yoga Nidra meditation audio during the day or at bedtime to help bring a sense of calm and relaxation.

Suitable for 4-6 year olds, or older children for a short practice.

After the meditation you may like to ask the child about what they experienced or they can draw or write about their experience.

Children’s Yoga Nidra audio written and recorded by Natasha Iregbu, Butterfly Minds.

By participating, you acknowledge:

- You take full responsibility for you, and your child's, own health and safety during and after engaging with the meditation.

- This meditation is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any condition.

- Any practices used are done at your own risk and discretion.
