Children’s Wellbeing

I believe that sharing mindfulness and meditation practices with children is a wonderful way for them to become aware of their inner world, explore their feelings and other’s.

Learning these practices can help develop their social and emotional skills as well as increasing positive overall wellbeing.

I am qualified to teach Yoga Nidra, Children & Teenagers Yoga and Childrens & Teenagers Creative Mindfulness.

I have 15 years of experience working with children and young people from various backgrounds within the voluntary and community education sector.

Mindfulness

Practising mindfulness can help children:

Lower stress and anxiety

Increase their concentration and focus

Increase positive mental wellbeing

Regulate their emotions

Increase self-esteem and develop self-compassion

Develop self-awareness and their ability to listen and communicate with others

I would love for you to be able to share the practice of mindfulness with the child/children in your life at a time and place that suits both your and their needs.

That’s why I am sharing a FREE collection of 6 hand drawn digital art mindful breathing exercises for children.

The breathing exercises are best practiced when the child is calm. They can then use them at times when they feel anxious/stressed/worried to help regulate their emotions and shift their nervous system to a calm response.

Meditation

Do you have a child in your life who has a busy mind?

Yoga Nidra is a relaxing and grounding meditation practice.

Learning how to relax at a young age is a skill that children can use throughout their life.

The practice can have a balancing effect for children, for instance it can support quieter children to express themselves more and help create a sense of calm for energetic children.

Yoga Nidra can help children:

Improve concentration

Increase self confidence

Reduce insecurities

Regulate emotions

Children can practice Yoga Nidra, sitting down or lying down with their eyes open or closed.

Suitable for ages 4-6 year olds. Older children can listen to if they would like to listen to a short meditation.
