Common Ground Pilgrimages

May 2024

I delivered three yoga and meditation sessions for a group of 22 people, from America, on a literary pilgrimage in Edinburgh. One of the participants shared that:

I enjoyed yoga so much I plan to begin a practice once I get back home. Using the bolster to support my spine was a game changer - I’m going to buy one when I get back home. You have such a kind, compassionate demeanor.”

Big Hearts Community Trust

June, September and November 2024

June - Beginner friendly teen yoga session followed by a creative mindfulness session, with young people in their ‘That's Me!’ Project. It was the group's first time experiencing yoga and mindfulness.

They shared the following comments during the session…

“I feel like I need a bubble bath.”

“This is the first time I have felt calm in a really long time, apart from when i'm sleeping.”

September - I shared a creative mindfulness and yoga session for Big Hearts Kinship Carer group to share tools to feel more relaxed.

November - Yoga session for a group of parent carers, with a neurodivergent child(ren), as part of a self-care session. Each parent carer received a copy of my book Mindful Living: A Guide for You and Your Family, to explore more ways to take care of their wellbeing.
