Living with Undiagnosed ADHD: What I Learned Through ADHD Screenings and Self-Discovery
I started looking into more about what does ADHD in women like? Thinking back to my school days, I can see how ADHD symptoms in girls' can often be harder to notice, especially if they don’t display signs of hyperactivity. I would overthink everything in the classroom.

How to Cope as a Special Needs Parent
If you're feeling particularly stressed about a situation, for instance, if you're at a meeting or anything else when you think “I need a moment to myself” you can use the hand breathing technique.

Why is Nature Good for Mental Health?
I think that access to resources to support parents and carers mental health and wellbeing is essential especially when raising neurodivergent children or being a neurodivergent parent. When parents and carers have ways to find and benefit from these resources, without feeling like they need to sacrifice more of their energy or time, it can help relieve stress and create a positive impact not only for themselves but for their whole family.

Are you a Neurodivergent Parent? Here's How You Can Feel Less Overstimulated.
I was aware that there is a lot of information about techniques and strategies for supporting neurodivergent children. Yet, I haven’t come across nearly as many resources for parents who are neurodivergent.

Mindfulness in Motherhood
When you use mindfulness techniques, to help bring you into the present and as a tool to practise self-compassion, your child(ren) will sense your calm energy.

Creating an Online Mindfulness Course
Fast forward to now, I have created my first online self-paced mindfulness course! I designed this course especially for parents to children with Additional Support Needs/SEN.
A few months ago, I decided to offer my main services to neurodiverse families. I also offer in person yoga and mindfulness workshops to organisations in Edinburgh.
I have 15 years of experience working with children, teenagers and adults from different backgrounds within the voluntary sector. Many of them had diagnosed and undiagnosed Additional Support Needs, particularly being neurodivergent.

4 Ways to Develop Children's Emotional Literacy
How often do you feel an emotion but you aren't able to express it and instead suppress it?
Children express their emotions through actions and behaviour more often than explicitly telling someone that they “feel angry just now”.
As adults it can sometimes feel easier to ignore or hide the emotion. However, this makes the emotion stay bubbling under the surface and can cause physical and mental stress.

Building Self-Belief
The excitement and motivation to share my book helped me overcome the fear. Which I'm glad about as if I had dwelled on the fears of it ‘not being good enough’ or ‘people won't want to buy it’, I would never have taken the steps to become a published author.
I didn't lack motivation but I lacked self-belief.

Connecting to Values
I have started creating my first online course for parents of children with Additional Support Needs/Special Educational Needs.
This is a new aspect of my business, however I have a lot of experience supporting parents and children with ASN/SEN in my community education related roles over the last 15 years. I am keen to do more work with this group of people in future. Who knows I might decide to make it my niche at some point!

Business Growth and Transformation
In my previous blog posts I shared my thoughts on leaving my comfort zone. Actively telling people about this course is another aspect of stepping out of my comfort zone. This is the first time I have developed my own course on diversity and inclusion.
This is a new branch in my business and an expansive way to reach new people in a different format…not on a yoga mat!

Faith in the Unknown
We all have different things we believe could be religious beliefs, faith, spirituality or something else.
You might believe you can't do something but when someone else does the same thing you have faith in their abilities.

The Importance of Diverse Children's Books
The number of children’s books, by UK authors, which have a main character from a BAME background is increasing. However, the numbers are still low.

Highlighting Diversity and Inclusion in the Wellness Industry
The ethnicity of your yoga teacher or other wellness professional isn't of importance to everyone. But for some it is important to learn and be guided by someone with shared and common experiences.
